To the Editor:

A big thank you to our Newtown Public Works Department!! I called them yesterday, and spoke to the administrator, Arlene M.

In the early afternoon, driving up my road, I saw a small tree laying there, blocking the left side of the street. Even though I was able to drive by it, I thought, “That’s not good. That could be a problem.”

Arlene asked me pertinent questions, and said she would send someone over to take a look. It wasn’t long before a crew came! They cut up the tree and chipped it. I want to thank them so much for taking care of this problem so quickly!
