Gail Tamborino
Gail Ann Tamborino, 69, of Newtown, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born Gail Stewart on May 24, 1955, she graduated from Marymount University and began a career in accounting. However, her greatest passion and life’s work were raising her three children — John, Marie, and Amanda — alongside her devoted husband of 47 years, John. She is the loving Grandmother, affectionately known as “GiGi,” to her four grandchildren — John Jarabak IV and John, Zachery, and Zoe Tamborino. Gail poured her heart into her family and created a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Gail was known for her warmth and hospitality, often opening her home to family and friends for gatherings filled with delicious food and joyful conversations. She had a remarkable green thumb and took pride in her beautiful garden, which reflected her nurturing spirit. She also had an adventurous side, finding joy in traveling and exploring new places with her loved ones.
Gail’s unwavering love and dedication to her family, her boundless generosity, and her vibrant personality will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her husband, John; her children, John, Marie, and Amanda; her grandchildren and extended family; and all those whose lives she touched.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, April 4, from 4 to 7 pm, at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street in Newtown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 5, at 11 am, at St Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, 46 Church Hill Rd in Newtown, followed by inurnment at the St Rose Cemetery Columbarium.
