Edmond Town Hall Welcomes Gary Lindemann As New Executive Director
Edmond Town Hall announces the appointment of Gary Lindemann as its new executive director, effective immediately.
Lindemann brings a wealth of experience in performing arts management and leadership, having served in key roles at Ridgefield Playhouse and Sacred Heart University’s performing arts programs.
Lindemann possesses a deep passion for the arts and community engagement, making significant contributions to Connecticut’s cultural landscape. At Ridgefield Playhouse, he played a key role in overseeing operations and delivering high-quality performances that enriched audience experiences. During his time at Sacred Heart University, he successfully developed a membership program that fostered community involvement while integrating live performances and broadening their audience base.
Edmond Town Hall Board of Managers Chair Jennifer Guman said the board is “thrilled to have Gary join our team.
“His extensive background in arts administration and proven track record in program development will be invaluable as we continue to expand our offerings and strengthen our role as a cultural hub for Newtown and the surrounding areas,” Guman added.
In addition to Lindemann’s business sense, he also spent 35 years in theater, television, and film with credits from Broadway, national tours, TV appearances, and regional theatre performances across various styles, including musical theater, opera, and rock & roll concerts; as featured soloist with the multi-platinum selling rock band Trans-Siberian Orchestra; and notable performances including roles in Phantom of the Opera, Anything Goes, “Law & Order: SVU,” “Quantico,” and “The Deuce.”
Highlights include more than 3,000 performances, including the role of Raoul in Phantom of the Opera on Broadway; being a member of national tours of Anything Goes, Disney’s High School Musical, and Jesus Christ Superstar; and TV roles in Hallmark’s “Christmas on Honeysuckle Lane,” HBO’s “The Deuce,” and NBC’s “Quantico.”
Under Lindemann’s leadership, Edmond Town Hall plans to further elevate its mission of providing engaging cultural, educational, and entertainment experiences. His vision includes expanding performing arts programming, deepening community partnerships, and enhancing the historic venue’s role as a gathering place for creativity and connection.
A proud Newtown resident, Lindemann said he is “honored” to take on the role of executive director of Edmond Town Hall.
“This historic building has long been a gathering place for our community, and I am excited to build on that tradition by bringing a diverse range of acts and shows to our stage — something for everyone to enjoy,” he said. “Arts and culture have the power to unite and inspire, and I look forward to working with the Board of Managers and our dedicated team to make Edmond Town Hall a vibrant, inclusive destination for creativity and connection.”
