C.H. Booth Library is planning its second annual Poetry Walk in April.

A fusion of literary finesse and scenic tranquility aimed at celebrating the timeless art of poetry, the month-long presentation was launched last year with all ages invited to enjoy a self-guided tour of the picturesque Fairfield Hills landscape, embellished with an array of poems displayed on signs. The immersive experience invited reflection and connection with nature, as well as the written word, providing a perfect backdrop to the verses that were been selected to resonate with a diverse audience.

More than 100 poems were submitted for review, with 42 selected for the signs along the inaugural Poetry Walk.

Readers are again being invited to submit their own original short poems to be considered for this year’s Poetry Walk. The 2025 Poetry Walk will be centered around the library on Main Street, with works posted indoors and out.

Deadline is February 28. Writers are invited to submit up to three original works to Booth Library Head of Adult Services Shari Merrill, at smerrill@chboothlibrary.org. Submissions should include the poems, including a title, and the writer’s name as they would like to have it displayed with their poem.

The project is open to all ages.

Contact Merrill through the email address above or 203-426-4533 4650 for additional information.
