Opposes Two Proposed Developments

To the Editor:

The visual character of Newtown is obvious, the picturesque range of its man-made, one-at-a-time structures, some old, some very old, some new, some grade traditionale, reflecting generations, ie, history.

Some carefully humbled by style and age, numerous youthfulls with free style wooded parcels, maybe a stream or a pond.

Considering all of the New England American identity, why do we have to put up with gross, unacceptable, unwanted interlopers of a scale and of an ugly? Jam packed homes in a “membership” enclave and/or metal encased affordable apartments tight with care create images of unattractive living, both not welcoming.

Serious, well defined objections are described in the letters to the editor, as well as the town’s many residents open participation in public meetings. Neighborly greeting quickly turn to concerns about these two issues. No approvals please.
