Santa visited Sandy Hook at HillTop Kitchen on Sunday, December 8. Santa listened to what the children wanted for Christmas and smiled for photos. He also sang songs with the children to get into the holiday spirit.

Over 90 gift bags were created to give to each child that met Santa. The purpose of the event, according to Sattie Persaud, an owner of HillTop, was to build community and create lasting memories. Persaud believes that creating an inviting space for families to come together will strengthen community bonds and provide a joyful and engaging experience for all. Persaud told The Bee, “We’re not just a business, we are a family business and love our community.”
