With the holiday season upon us, I want to remind readers of a meaningful way to make the holidays easier for a Newtown neighbor in need. For over six decades, the Newtown Fund has been a lifeline for local families by providing fuel assistance in the winter months, funds for children to attend camp in the summer, and organizing community volunteers to donate and deliver holiday meals and gift baskets to those in need.

Last year, with your support, we delivered baskets filled with food, clothing, toys, and household gifts to 89 Newtown families, including 99 adults, 66 children, and 62 seniors. This year, even more families need a helping hand. Despite the growing need, donations are down.
