Christine Platt, 70, of Sandy Hook, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024. She was the loving wife of the late John E. Platt, Jr.

Christine was born in Norwalk on June 17, 1954, a daughter of the late Thomas and Agnes (Isaacs) Foley.

A longtime resident of Sandy Hook, Christine was a loving mother and wife. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and caring for others. In her later years, she could be seen at fields and courts all around the state cheering on her grandchildren every weekend and was an avid fan of the UConn Huskies and New York Mets.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her.

Christine is survived by her children and their spouses Jason and Erin Platt, Amy and Matt Dobson, and Steve and Melissa Platt; grandchildren Shea Platt, Emma Dobson, Mason Platt, Luke Dobson, Colton Platt, Connor Platt, and Lucy Platt; and her brother Thomas Foley.

Christine was predeceased by her sister Pat Salvestrini and brother Michael Foley.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 4, at 11:30 am, in Saint Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Road in Newtown. There will be no calling hours; interment will take place privately.
