On Monday, November 25, Newtown Police welcomed two new graduates, Officers Kurt Kling and Kevin Poruban, from the Stamford Police Academy. The Newtown Police Department wants to extend a congratulations to Kling and Poruban for completing their six-month, intensive basic training experience. Kullgren shared that he “received very positive feedback from [the graduates’] instructors.” The two new officers will begin four months of field training with experienced Newtown officers.
