‘The Bishop’s Wife’ To Be Presented As Live 1940s Radio Play
Readers are invited to celebrate the season with The Bishop’s Wife, a heartwarming holiday classic being brought to life as a 1940s-style radio play by Town Players of Newtown next month.
Directed by Robin Frome and produced by Kimberly Marcus, the production invites audiences to experience the nostalgia of radio theater with behind-the-scenes action and a delightful period-appropriate set.
A talented cast will create the feel of a bustling radio studio where each character’s voice brings the story to life. Gather the whole family to enjoy the charm of good old-fashioned community theater, filled with warmth, laughter, and holiday cheer.
Performances are planned for weekends, December 6-14. Curtain will be Friday and Saturday at 8 pm, and Sunday afternoon at 2.
Tickets are $30, available at newtownplayers.org.
The Town Players performs at The Little Theatre, 18 Orchard Hill Road in Newtown.
