To The Editor:

I encourage you to vote for Michelle Ku on November 5th for 106th district state representative. She has already accomplished so much for us. Michelle has helped us achieve healthier school lunches, manage school enrollment fluctuations, provide safer learning environments, and navigate the pandemic challenges. Michelle listens and seeks to understand all residents’ concerns. She is thoughtful and measured in her approach to Newtown’s needs and is someone who others seek out to get things done.

Michelle is running against a longtime incumbent. Usually that is a huge hurdle; but I honestly cannot recall anything her opponent has done directly for us. His photo ops don’t replace Michelle’s years of hard work on the Board of Education, the Legislative Council, and the Board of Selectmen.

There is no one more qualified and committed to represent Newtown than Michelle Ku. Let’s show her our deepest appreciation — Vote for Ku on Tuesday!
