Experience Matters
To The Editor:
Mitch Bolinsky is not only my neighbor, but a friend. And a friend to all of Newtown.
You may remember his willingness to get involved when exit 11 was behind schedule, or if you’re a senior, you know how hard he works for you. As recently as this January he was recognized by the AARP for his leadership with long-term care, and last year by the Aging Committee for his service, where he is a ranking member. He worked on a Pandemic Relief Grant for Children’s Museums across Connecticut, and that work benefited Newtown’s EverWonder Museum. He always puts Newtown first.
In Hartford, besides being our State Representative, he sits on the Appropriations Committee, Education Committee and Aging Committee.
Back in Newtown, you have seen him at the Senior Center, Labor Day Parade, Duck Race, hosting public forums, speaking to the BOE and supporting our first responders. He is now working on ways to reduce our local energy bills, and he has never voted to increase your taxes.
If you have not yet had the opportunity to talk with Mitch, please do, you will not find a more caring, well spoken advocate for his community and neighbors, and a refreshing voice that puts policy ahead of politics.
Mitch has served Newtown for the last 12 years, and his record speaks for itself.
Experience matters!
Please join me in supporting Mitch on this Election Day, November 5.
Thank you.
