To The Editor:

My letter of endorsement for Mitch Bolinsky for State Representative is based on three foundations of character, competence, and love for the people he serves.

Mitch is authentically honest and represents a servant mentality. Mitch has advocated for the people of Newtown for over a decade on matters of education, public utilities/infrastructure, and senior citizen oriented issues. That he has done most effectively without regard for political promotion. He is extremely well grounded in traditional family values.

Mitch has mastered the challenges of negotiation at the complex level of state government. He is incredibly capable of bipartisanship to introduce legislation for the benefit of state and local citizenry. In particular Mitch is a Newtown Icon who makes himself available to any Newtown Citizen on a very personal level. His powerful intellect is matched perfectly with a rare understanding of people.

Most important, Mitch has a deep affection for the people of Newtown. He has enormous empathy for challenges of special needs, quality of life, and aspirations for our children. As a former Board of Education Member, I was able to witness Mitch in action on many significant issues that provide evidence of my testimony regarding his character, competence, and love of the people he serves.
