A Senator For The People, Not Politics
To The Editor:
I am writing to wholeheartedly endorse Tony Hwang for re-election to the Connecticut General Assembly’s 28th State Senate District.
My family has been part of this district for over fifty years, committed to helping others. For nearly two decades, I’ve had the privilege of knowing and working with Senator Hwang. His dedication to our community is not just a political stance — it is deeply personal. Tony truly cares about the people he serves, and I’d like to share just three examples of his lasting and caring commitment to the people of our district.
As chairman of The McGivney Community Center in Bridgeport, I saw firsthand how Tony enthusiastically supported programs for children in need. He was always present at fundraising events and worked tirelessly to secure state funding for critical after-school programs that made a difference in these children’s lives.
Later, as chairman of the Board of Trustees of Notre Dame High School in Fairfield, Tony’s commitment to students was evident. He celebrated both men’s and women’s athletic achievements, advised on school safety and bussing issues, and consistently showed his care for our children’s well-being.
On a personal note, Tony went out of his way to help me navigate a frustrating issue with a faulty car purchase, connecting me with the Department of Consumer Protection and following up to ensure I received the assistance I needed.
Tony Hwang is more than a state senator — he’s our neighbor, a dedicated public servant, always present with kindness and care. His constant engagement with our community shows his genuine love and commitment to all of us. Please reward his hard work and commitment by voting for him on November 5.
