Driving up Church Hill Road on a Wednesday morning, readers might see a group of individuals walking up the hill towards Edmond Town Hall. TransitionCT is a program for individuals with special needs to get support during the day. Employees of Bee Publishing Company have started watching for the group, who often stop in front of the building at 5 Church Hill Road while on their weekly trek up the challenging hill.

Dawn Gray, an organizer for TransitionCT, said, "Newtown is our newest location ... We support about 75 individuals."

TransitionCT is an opportunity for people to learn skills such as "budgeting, we do field trips, we have a general absolutely amazing day with our guys. They’re all part of our family," Gray added.

On Wednesday, October 9, the group enjoyed a screening of Haunted Mansion. Following the movie, they go downstairs to the gym of Edmond Town Hall and rehearse for their Holiday Spectacular. The show will be held on December 17 in the Edmond Town Hall Theatre and all are invited to join.
