Newtown Woman’s Club GFWC, Inc, has released its 2024 pewter ornament.

This year’s ornament honors Newtown Forest Association, Inc, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary.

One hundred years ago, Newtown citizens began donating open land to launch what is now an accumulation of over 1,400 acres of protected space within our town.

Town Historian Ben Cruson has written a history of fascinating events that will accompany each collectible piece.

The 2024 ornament additionally honors Coke Cramer, a member emeritus of Newtown Forest Association and a charter member of Newtown Woman’s Club, founded in 1968.

Ornaments are $20 each and available at C.H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street; The Newtown Bee, 5 Church Hill Road; The Toy Tree, 32 Church Hill Road; and the Office of the Town Clerk, Newtown Municipal Center, 3 Primrose Street.

All proceeds are donated to local charities.
