Flagpole Photographers Plan October Events
Get ready for an exciting night of photography as the Flagpole Photographers Camera Club kicks off October with its monthly program night on Thursday, October 10. The meeting will take place at Newtown Senior Center, 8 Simpson Street (use the community center entrance), from 7:30-9:30 pm, and feature an informative presentation on nightscape photography, followed by an interactive, hands-on session. Visitors are encouraged to bring their cameras and tripods. All skill levels are welcome.
On Thursday, October 24, Flagpole invites the public to their monthly competition night. Members’ work will be presented across a variety of categories, including Nature, Open Color, Open Monochrome, Assigned Subject, and Monthly Challenge. For October, the competition theme is “Coffee,” and the monthly challenge is “The Color Red.” This meeting will be available both virtually and in person at the senior center. Social time will begin at 7, with the program at 7:30.
