Amy Dickinson
Amy Noelle Dickinson, 55, of Bloomfield, passed away peacefully at home on September 2, after a short and courageous battle with cancer.
Born on September 5, 1968, in Bridgeport, Amy’s life was defined by love, laughter, and the deep connections she made with family and friends.
A proud graduate of Masuk High School in Monroe, Class of 1986, Amy then attended the Katharine Gibbs School in Norwalk. Amy lived for many years in Newtown, where she lovingly raised her three children, who were her greatest joy and deepest pride.
Amy is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Chris Glowacki. She will forever live on in the hearts of her children: Chad Azzarito and his wife Cameron of Hamden, Heather Azzarito of Waterbury, and Luke Azzarito of Hamden. Her parents, Clifford and Gail Dickinson, of St Petersburg, Fla., were a constant source of love and strength throughout her life. Amy was also blessed with close-knit siblings: Craig Dickinson and his wife Patty of Avon, Laura Ballentine and her husband Eric of St Petersburg, Fla., and Brett Dickinson and his wife Mallory of Danbury. She is also survived by her niece Haley and nephews Pierce, Tyler, and Chase.
Amy was the kind of person who lit up every room with her radiant smile and gentle spirit. Her creativity and passion for beauty transformed every space she lived into a warm, inviting sanctuary. Her warmth, humor, and genuine kindness made her unforgettable to all who knew her.
In addition to her family, Amy leaves behind a community of dear friends, each of whom she cherished deeply. Her friendships were marked by love, loyalty, and countless shared memories. She was someone who took the time to nurture relationships, leaving a lasting impact on everyone lucky enough to know her. Amy’s beautiful spirit will be missed beyond measure, but the love she spread in her lifetime will continue to shine through her family and friends.
Amy’s life will be celebrated at a memorial service on Friday, September 20, at 11 am, at St Peter’s Grace Episcopal Church, 175 Old Tannery Road in Monroe.
