To the Editor:

Just last week Senator Chris Murphy was in Kenya talking about flooding/drought that has affected that area.

Chris has no intention of coming to the Newtown/Southbury area after a historic storm hits the state he is supposed to represent.

I called his DC office and they said possibly next week he will be here, which seems unacceptable to me. Yet he found time to go to Kenya (“checking on our investments”) and I was told he is taking a week off in Chicago.

Typical politician, when you need them most they can’t be found but I’m sure he’ll be here looking for votes in the Labor Day Parade.
