NJWC Tag-A-Gift Program Underway

Every year the Newtown Junior Women’s Club works in conjunction with Social Services to fulfill holiday wishes for Newtown children. The club organizes, collects, and wraps gifts generously donated by the community.

Children’s wish lists, or “Tags,” have been placed at the following locations: Newtown Savings Bank (39 Main Street and Sand Hill Plaza, 228 Main Street South); Union Savings Bank, 1 Commerce Road; and Wesley Learning Center, 92 Church Hill Road (adjacent to Newtown United Methodist Church).

Residents are now invited to stop by one of the locations, take as many tags as they can fulfill, purchase the child’s gift “wish,” and then return the unwrapped toy to the location where the tag was obtained, with the tag attached to the gift.

Newtown Junior Women’s Club members will pick up the unwrapped toys, wrap them, and deliver them to the families in need the week before Christmas.
