Newtown Bridle Lands Association (NBLA) hosted a group trail ride through Tarrywile Park in Danbury on June 8. The participating riders met at Happy Trails Farm in Danbury, which is owned by Ed and Lucy Prybylski.

Ed Prybylski refers to the farm as a little bit of Yellowstone (the TV series) in Fairfield County. Eight riders left the farm and crossed Mountainville Road, entering a large hay field that is part of Tarrywile Park, a 722-acre municipal park open to all residents of the Greater Danbury area community. The Park, once an active dairy farm and fruit orchard, is now home to 21 miles of hiking trails, two ponds, a lake, and several picnic areas.

The trail ride, led by Janet Harner, took the riders past an abandoned castle and then followed the Orange Trail, which meandered through woods that were exploding with white mountain laurel blooms. After the 90-minute ride the group returned to Happy Trails for a cowboy brunch. Scrambled eggs, thick bacon, and cowboy coffee were on the menu.
