Ribbon Cuttings Celebrated In Sandy Hook
Two Sandy Hook businesses celebrated formal ribbon cuttings in recent weeks.
On Wednesday, April 24, Great Ring Farm Co-Owner Chandravir Ahuja was joined by fellow business owners and political supporters for his ribbon cutting.
Ahuja and his wife Roberta have joined the many agricultural contributors to Newtown’s economy and quality of life. Their farm at 1 Great Ring Road produces everything from goat’s milk and eggs to a variety of traditional New England and ethnic specialty crops, along with flowers available through a CSA program.
On Monday, May 6, HillTop Kitchen hosted its formal opening less than a week after its soft opening. Generations of the Persaud family were joined by staff, additional relatives, friends and local business owner for the 10 am for the celebratory event.
The restaurant-cafe at 4 Riverside Road serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The new business is the latest undertaking for the Persaud family, who already own and operate Dodgingtown Market and Deli.
