To the Editor:

I am writing this today on my 79th birthday.

I lived in Newtown for 25 years until about 2008 when I retired and moved to Florida.

I lived in Florida until last year and then moved back to see my four grandchildren here grow up until I die.

I live in about the same size condo here as I lived in Florida. I found counting taxes, common fees and insurance, costs are about the same. I’d rather give $ to my school board here than to my insurance agent in Florida.

You don’t send your kid to public school in Florida if you can help it. We visited Florida for a few weeks this year and my wife went for a walk in the condo area and the guy in front of her was carrying a gun in his belt.

Vote for the budget!

And thank the lord you don’t live in a State like Florida.
