Please let me, in this way, extend my gratitude to the community for a successful fundraiser via purchase of my book, The Silver Bridge is Silver Again, But Somebody Tore Down Bill’s Hot Dog Stand.

First, I want to thank Dottie Evans and Kaaren Valenta, my reader/editors, and Alice Horahan, who proofread the book. Also, thanks to granddaughter Emily, for her technical assistance, and, especially, Nick Arfaras, who formatted the book for publication and designed the cover.

Thanks to Wendy at the Senior Center and Jennifer at Booth Library for allowing me to hold “meet the author” events and to the Garden Club of Newtown and the Horticulture Club for allowing me to sell books at their December events. And, importantly, to The Newtown Bee for the wonderful advance publicity around those events. Thanks also to The Bee, Queen Street Gifts, and the library for selling the book.

Most of all, thank you to the folks who purchased the book.

Together we raised a little over $2,000 for FAITH!
