Career: I’m an administrative assistant senior for a government contractor.
Pets: We have a dog, Earl. When he was born the breeder thought he looked like an old man, so the name was fitting. He’s a Dutch Shepherd.
How long have you lived in Newtown? Basically my whole life, minus two years.
Are you involved in any local organizations? I am a firefighter with Newtown Hook & Ladder. I’ve been a member almost five years. I am also the chair for one of the committees.
Favorite book or author? Harry Potter, the whole series.
What is the most recent movie you’ve seen in the theater? Paw Patrol (laughing), the new one. When a 5-year-old says “I want to go to the movies,” you take her.
Favorite music genre? Country.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time? The fire company takes a lot of time — responding to calls, assisting at the firehouse, and coordinating events — but I love going on adventures with my daughter and husband, typically outdoor activities.
Who is the greatest influence in your life? My father, Frank Warburton. He’s adventurous, determined, creative, and a multi-talented engineer. He’s also an outstanding father and grandfather. I work at the same place he did. He’s retired, but I’m following in his footsteps a little. He was an engineer and I’m not, but it’s still really cool to be where he was.
Favorite travel destination? Disney World.
What do you like about Newtown? The community. I love helping the community in the fire-medical side. I love hosting events to bring the community together. And I love raising my daughter here.
What is your personal credo? Never give up. If it’s something you desire, go for it.
