It is my pleasure to endorse Neil Chaudhary for Police Commission.
Over the last four years I have enjoyed working with Neil through significant changes for the Newtown Police Department as we opened a new police facility, hired a new Chief, Deputy Chief and several officers due to planned retirements. Through the interview and promotion processes I was impressed with Neil’s ability to ask direct and thoughtful questions in a tone that invited meaningful dialogue. Additionally, as Newtown deals with traffic safety issues Neil is a subject matter expert and a great resource for the Police Commission.
Over the last year Neil and I spoke a great deal as he contemplated running as an independent as I did the same in the last municipal election cycle. I appreciate and support his decision to align with the Forward Party and its platform of nonpartisan problem solving and electoral reform. Neil is a person of principle and conscience, a perfect fit for elected office.

I totally agree with Dan’s endorsement of Neil. Having been previously elected myself to the Police Commission I have an insider’s view on what it take. Neil has what it take and the experience to continue doing a great job. As an Independent running for BOE I appreciate and look forward to another Independent’s success on November 7th. .
