To the Editor:

Jordana Bloom has my strongest endorsement for Legislative Council, District 2.

Jordana and I served together on the Legislative Council from 2019-2021. Throughout that term, Jordana consistently and passionately advocated for our community on a variety of issues. She proved unafraid to speak her mind, to say the difficult thing so that the Council adequately assessed issues from multiple perspectives. With four years of experience on the LC, Jordana will be ready to serve on Day 1. She has deep experience with the municipal budget, ordinances, the Town Charter, and how the LC works with other boards.

Jordana is quintessentially Newtown. She currently works at C. H. Booth Library, bringing incredible programming and events to the community. She sits on the Newtown Community Center Commission, helping steer the center that has become a gathering place for so many. She is dedicated and empathetic, practical and determined, incredibly smart and driven. Most importantly, she is someone of the highest integrity and character.

Please vote on November 7th. And if you live in District 2, I’d encourage you to cast your vote for Jordana Bloom.
