To the Editor:

As a local realtor I’ve had the chance to meet and work with many Newtown residents over the years, to see how they think and how they weigh major life decisions. When I helped Bryce Chinault and his beautiful family find their forever home in Newtown, I was really struck with how much attention Bryce paid to every home we toured, the detailed questions he would ask both of me and the home inspectors, and the ideas he had for turning each house into a home.

As a Newtown resident and taxpayer these are also the types of qualities I want to have in the members of our Board of Finance. When reviewing budgets and weighing the benefits and costs of various proposals I want someone who is going to pay attention to details, ask poignant questions, and weigh the benefits and costs of each so that our community can prosper into the future.

Bryce earned a Master of Public Policy degree and a BA in Political Science, and he has worked with policymakers on bipartisan reforms for over a decade at the federal, state, and local level. He will apply everything he has learned in that time to understand proposals that come before the Board of Finance and will vote based on what he thinks will be best for Newtown.

Bryce is also a devoted husband to his wonderful wife and father to two amazing kids who light up the room even more than he does. I know Bryce will work hard for Newtown, and I encourage all Newtown voters to vote for him on November 7.
