To the Editor,

I am writing to express my strong endorsement for Jeff Capeci as Newtown’s next First Selectman. In my opinion, Jeff is the most qualified candidate to assume the highest leadership position in our town. Given the substantial responsibilities of this role, Jeff possesses the requisite experience to step into the position and make an immediate impact.

With a dedicated record of over two decades of volunteer and elected leadership within Newtown, Jeff brings an invaluable combination of expertise, fiscal acumen, and effective leadership skills necessary not only to maintain the smooth operation of our town but also to guide it toward a promising future.

Jeff has notably served multiple terms on the Legislative Council, three of which he presided over as the chairman. As a pivotal governing body of our town, the Legislative Council provides a comprehensive understanding of Newtown’s dynamics. Additionally, Jeff has been elected to the Board of Selectmen and appointed twice to the Charter Revision committee, which he also chaired.

I have full confidence in Jeff’s capabilities, and together with his running mate, John Madzula, they represent the most deserving candidates to receive your vote on November 7th.
