To the Editor:

I am writing this letter in support of Neil Chaudhary who is running for reelection to the Police Commission.

I first met Neil when I served on the Fairfield Hills Master Plan Review Committee. As vice-chair of that group, I saw that Neil was very well informed on the issues facing our town.

His capacity to lead discussions and his dedication to learn more was apparent at the very first meeting before we even chose our chair and vice-chair. Not only was he hardworking but he was full of ideas even as he was a keen listener. For example, he played a key role in designing our community survey.

During our tenure with Fairfield Hills I got to know Neil better and it was a pleasure to serve alongside. On a personal level he was kind and helpful — important qualities for an elected official to complement their qualifications.

I have no hesitation in wholeheartedly endorsing Neil for election this fall.
