To the Editor:

As the current chair of the Board of Finance Committee, I fully support Steven Goodridge for reelection to the Newtown Board of Finance. I have had the pleasure of serving with Steve over this past term. Steve joined the Board and has become an integral part of the Board.

Steve has served as a delegate on the teachers contract negotiations, the administrator contract negotiations, a delegate to the transfer station/recycling committee and the CFF/CIP committee. Steve has demonstrated a desire to constantly learn and become involved in the budget process and the CIP.

Steve has also been recently appointed as the vice-chair of the Board of Finance. As we approach a new election season and a new term ahead for board members, I cannot say enough about the dedication and skill that Steve brings to the Board. I ask that the citizens vote for Steve and allow him to continue to serve their interests and continue to be a valuable asset to the Board of Finance.

I write this in my individual capacity and not as a member of the Board of Finance.
