To the Editor:

On behalf of Senior Pastor Steve Volpe and the entire Newtown United Methodist Church Community, many thanks to ALL who attended the 2023 NUMC Fall Craft Fair on Saturday, Oct 14th, 2023 at Reed Intermediate School. We welcomed 40 talented local crafters, around 50 volunteers, and more than a thousand members of the community to this all-day event.

That kind of success begets heartfelt thanks from everyone involved in this beloved celebration. In addition to our crafters and volunteers, we thank Dennis and Barbara Bloom for providing refreshment from Full Bloom Catering. Thanks also to Linda & Duane Jones and Families United in Newtown (FUN) for the face painting, kids’ craft area and overall support. Finally, sincere thanks to the local businesses listed below, who generously donated items to the event’s silent auction.

It truly takes a village to put on an event like this, and NUMC is beyond grateful for this entire caring community.

The NUMC community thanks: Appleberry Farm (Sandy Hook); Carminuccio’s Pizza & Subs (Newtown); Cover Two Sports Cafe (Sandy Hook); Edmond Town Hall Movie Theater (Newtown); Fusion 25 (Newtown); Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa (Brookfield); Hollandia Nursery (Bethel); Mason’s Farm Market (Monroe); New Insights Crystal Boutique (Sandy Hook); NewSylum (Newtown); Reverie Brewing Co (Newtown); Sal e Pepe (Newtown); Sandy Hook Cafe (Sandy Hook); Sandy Hook Diner (Sandy Hook); Shortt’s Farm and Garden Center (Sandy Hook); Subway (Sandy Hook); The Newtown Bee; UK Gourmet (Bethel); and Uncle Matt’s Bakery (Sandy Hook).
