To the Editor:

Too often we overlook the importance of local elections and forget to vote, yet these are the offices that most directly and immediately affect our daily lives. That is why I feel so strongly about electing a candidate like Neil Chaudhary.

I have met Neil and his family, talked to him about his approach to the job of Police Commissioner and reviewed his record. There is actually no one more qualified for this job. Neil has worked with scores of law enforcement agencies in Connecticut and across the country. He brings no political bias to the Board of Police Commissioners.

Newtown has seen his qualifications as a perfect fit for this role.

I urge the voters to focus on the candidate best for the town. In my opinion that would be Neil Chaudhary.
