To the Editor:

It is my pleasure to endorse Philip Cruz for Police Commission.

Philip is a person who has a proven record and has shown throughout his 42 years living in Newtown Integrity, Leadership, and Service. He has shown the following: service to our country by serving as an officer in the US Army for 25 years, service to our community serving on various town and community boards during his life, and finally serving as an educator, coach, and mentor to our students for 30 years.

Phil has the personality, vision, leadership, and temperament that will be an asset to our police commission while it works with other town commissions in a bipartisan method to help heal with any possible infrastructure issues that may arise such as traffic, due to the growth of our town.

Phil’s leadership and decision-making experiences will benefit us as we look forward to our community’s future growth.

I highly recommend voting for a good and honest man, Phil Cruz for Police Commission.
