To the Editor:

It is now 22 years since 9/11, and 11 years since 12/14. As one watches Sunday’s 60 Minutes FDNY 9/11 story, one can’t but tear up for the brave, the lost, and the injured First Responders.

My oldest son, Jimmy, was a volunteer firefighter in the Borough. Newtown, the Borough and many, generously fund the Companies. Police and EMS likewise, are fundamental to our safety and security.

Thank you to our First Responders past, present and future. Each and every one risks their lives for us. When they fundraise, give generously. The next life they save may be your own, a loved one, your friend or a neighbor.

Bless all the victims of 9/11 and 12/14.
