Kleats For Kids, created by Newtown’s Marc Maurath, will have collection bins at Treadwell Park during Newtown Youth Football practices August 7-11. Gently-used cleats may be donated between 6:30 and 8 pm.

In addition, there are bins set up at Around Town Real Estate, LLC, 17 Church Hill Road, as well as at NYA Sports & Fitness, 4 Primrose Street.

Last year, more than 50 pairs of cleats were collected in Newtown for youth football programs in Baltimore and the Washington D.C. area.
