JJ Stacks Lands A Hole In One For Food And Fun
Those looking to have a good time and bellies full of delicious food need to look no further than JJ Stacks.
The restaurant opened at 537 Federal Road in Brookfield during the COVID-19 pandemic in August 2020.
Owner Joe Attonito was drawn to the location for its huge outdoor eating area and mini-golf course. The lawn space proved to be perfect for guests to enjoy spaced out activities in the open air.
“We have a 21-hole mini-golf course. We use it for regular play, kids’ parties, and even corporate events. We are planning to host a mini-golf tournament through Brookfield Parks & Rec this season,” Attonito said. “The course is open to anybody; you don’t have to dine here to play.”
Attonito has been in the restaurant industry for close to three decades, having started when he was 13 years old.
At JJ Stacks, he focuses on supporting local businesses. He gets his ice-cream from Rich Farm in Brookfield, coffee from Candlewood Coffee in Brookfield, meat from Omaha Beef in Danbury, and syrup from Maple Craft Foods in Newtown. The restaurant also has more than a dozen handcrafted beers from greater Danbury breweries.
The style of food served at JJ Stacks is nostalgic in that it reminds many of their youth, but it is modern with its originality.
“A lot of people compare us to an old-school burger stand. The difference between us and most of those places is that all our food is fresh and homemade,” Attonito said. “We serve burgers, hot dogs, ice cream shakes, fries, and have a great wing selection.”
JJ Stacks is emerging as a go-to wing spot in the greater Danbury area with over 100 flavors available that are all made in-house.
Customers can choose to dine indoors where there are tables for about 25 people or eat on the outdoor patio that comfortably seats about 90 people. Those who eat outdoors will receive table service — all guests are welcome on the patio, even your family dog!
For those who want takeout and delivery, they can order through the restaurant’s website, jjstacks.com.
Catering is also available both in-house and on-premise, where their cooks can prepare the food on-site. There is a pre-set Birthday Party Pack for catering, as well as custom built options to best suit people’s needs.
Check out Happy Hour inside or out with rotating local drafts on tap at the patio bar. On Fridays and Saturdays, JJ Stacks has live music outside from 6 to 8 pm.
JJ Stacks is the proud host of Gears in Heaven bike nights every Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm. Also, starting in May, JJ Stacks will be hosting a bi-weekly car show on Saturday mornings.
Stop by and see what all the rave is about at JJ Stacks’ monthly events, starting with Spring Fest on Saturday, April 22, from noon to 5 pm.
Expect a fun, memorable experience for the whole family each time you dine!
