Newtown Lions Club will conduct its annual Lose The Litter Day on Saturday, April 22.

The spring event is once again part of Newtown Earth Day Festival, returning to the front lawn of Newtown Middle School that same day.

The Lions will have a table set up at 11 Queen Street from 9 am until 1 pm; the festival continues until 4 pm. Festival admission is free.

The local Lions Club will provide garbage bags, gloves, and other supplies. Club members will also have a list of roads in town that need some spring cleaning. Suggestions will be available for any individual, couple, family, or group that wants to take on an assignment.

Requested roads will also be welcomed.

“This is a chance for all residents to take pride in their hometown and keep it beautiful,” according to Lions Club member Gordon Williams.

For additional information or an early road request contact Williams at 203-405-6392 or gmwllw@charter.net.
