Josephine M. Kulowiec
Josephine M. Kulowiec, 87, of Bridgewater and Redding died March 2. She was born in Stamford, January 5, 1927, the daughter of Stanislawa and John Poltrack.
Her loving husband Edmund J. Kulowiec; her children Stephanie A. Kulowiec of Newtown, John E. Kulowiec, retired USN, and his wife Connie, of Garner, N.C., Daniel W. Kulowiec, USMC, and his wife Megan, Lawrence A. Kulowiec, and his wife Susan, of Redding; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren survive Mrs Kulowiec. Her beloved daughter Kristine S. Kulowiec predeceased her.
Mrs Kulowiec attended Stamford schools and Merritt Business School. She served as clerk of the Connecticut Probate Courts of Redding and Brookfield for 20 years. She was a member of the Executive Committee and secretary of the Redding Historical Society for more than 20 years. She was also a member of the Women’s Guild of St Patrick Church in Redding.
There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Joseph’s Church, 163 Whisconier Road, Brookfield, Saturday, March 29, at 10 am. Burial will be at Umpawaug Cemetery in Redding immediately following the service.
