Newtown High School's boys' cross country team member Tyler Saunders has organized the Capstone XC 5K for his senior Capstone project in an effort to raise money for a race timer for the Nighthawk program . The 5K takes place this Saturday, November 5, at the Reed Intermediate School (3 Trades Lane) cross country trails near the fields, at 9 am. Participants are asked to get to the starting area by 8:45. Cost is $20.

If people are not runners but would like to participate, volunteers and donations are needed. Participants may sign up in advance or on site on race day.
