Jacqueline Jones To Offer Plein Air Oil Demonstration With SCAN

The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown (SCAN) will host Jacqueline Jones painting a landscape on Wednesday, April 27, at 1:30 pm.

The demonstration is open to the public and admission is free. Those planning to attend should also note that the event is only open to fully vaccinated attendees.
Jones is a nationally recognized landscape and seascape painter who finds her inspiration in painting oils in plein air. She earned a bachelor of fine arts degree in painting at Lyme Academy College of Fine Art.
Her love of plein air painting and travel takes her to many locations in the United States and abroad. She has participated in Telluride Plein Air, Artists on Location in Knoxville, Tenn., and Hudson Valley Plein Air.
The recipient of numerous awards including First Prize for Outstanding Work at The Salmagundi Club in NYC, Jones has also had work acquired by The Brinton Museum in Big Horn, Wyo. She teaches at Glastonbury Art Guild and Lyme Art Association.
Her professional memberships include American Artists Professional League, American Woman Artists, American Society of Marine Artists Signature Member, Glastonbury Arts, Oil Painters of America, Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, and The Salmagundi Club.
