Newtown High School’s gymnastics team competed in the South-West Conference Championships on February 10. The Nighthawks finished runner-up to host New Milford, which scored 135.70 points to Newtown’s 132.55.

Addie Sullivan won the balance beam competition with a score of 8.85, and was seventh in all around scoring.

Renee Chard was third on bars with an 8.65, fourth on floor with a score of 8.85, and third in the all around with a four-event total of 34.25.

Lauren Young came in fourth on vault with an 8.55. Young also finished seventh on floor and tenth in the all around.

Kelsey Brennan was seventh on the balance beam.
