Flags should be lowered today, January 13, until sunset, to honor the late Senator Harry Reid, who died last month.
Following the death of the former US Senate majority leader on December 29, President Joe Biden issued a proclamation calling for United States flags to be flown at half-staff on the day of Reid’s interment.
Nevada’s longest-serving member of Congress, Reid was honored during ceremonies in the US Capitol Rotunda on January 12.
Hook & Ladder firefighters have lowered the flag on the Main Street flagpole.
