Helen Zemola Hallstrom, 93, previously of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Kenneth Hallstrom, died July 28, at the Carolton Health Care Center, Fairfield. She was born in Brandon, Colo., to Mary (Szendrock) and John Zemola.

Five beloved children, including Christine Girgasky, and her husband Joseph, of Newtown; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister; and several nieces and nephews survive Mrs Hallstrom.

 Mrs Hallstrom, a homemaker, had been a longtime area resident. She was an avid bowler and dancer, and was a member of the Baldwin Center and the Catholic Daughters.

Services were private. Adzima Funeral Home, Stratford, was in charge of arrangements.
