Justin Zemo scored twice and Greg Gargano netted a goal in Newtown High School's boys' soccer team's 3-1 win at Notre Dame-Fairfield on October 22. NHS closed out the regular season with a 0-0 tie at Pomperaug of Southbury on October 25. Newtown begins the postseason with a visit to Bethel in the South-West Conference Tournament quarterfinals on Friday, October 29, starting at 5 pm. The Nighthawks and Bethel Wildcats played to a scoreless tie on October 14.
