To the Editor:

Hello. My name is Michayl Wilford and I am in eighth grade at Newtown Middle School. I am writing because I think that Mrs Jennifer Padilla would be great on the Board of Education.

Mrs Padilla is such a good person in general. She puts in so many community hours and cares about all kids. One time when I was in NMS Drama Club we were doing a dress rehearsal and after she helped fix my hair, I got a bloody nose and she made sure I got cleaned up and no blood got on my dress. You couldn’t even tell anything was wrong. Also, when I was in Reed Drama Club she would always bring extra snacks in case some kids didn’t have one. She made sure everyone’s costumes fit and that they had all the pieces. She does a lot of behind the scenes work that no one can see, but is still there.

She helps at school a lot with activities for the PTA too. In addition to helping at school, she also helps at activities outside of school, like being team mom for my Newtown Youth Cheer Squad. She helps us with uniforms, snacks, and working in the snack shack. When it comes down to it, she always puts our needs before hers.

In conclusion, Mrs Padilla is a great candidate for the Newtown Board of Education. If I was old enough to vote, I would vote for her because she cares about kids.
