Newtown Needs Your Voices And Your Votes
To the Editor:
With less than a week left before elections, it’s so important for residents to understand how important their individual votes are. Political races in Newtown have been won and lost with single digit margins. I understand that there are some people who may not feel it’s important to get out and vote on Tuesday, but I hope that all Newtown voters will turn out in record numbers because they see value in choosing candidates that understand what it means to serve all the residents of Newtown. There are many critical issues on the table right now and Newtown needs your voices and your votes. All of them.
For example, if you are a believer, like I am, that our schools could be improved by the continuation of work that supports all students and staff in our diverse district, look no further than me and Dan Cruson. We have the experience, dedication, and passion to ensure our district provides an equitable education that allows all students to thrive. We wholeheartedly believe in the central tenets of our school district mission regarding respect, kindness, hard work, and a focus on student growth and success.
Jordana Bloom is another fantastic candidate for consideration. She has the positive mentality, strong work ethic, and organizational experience that will make our town clerk’s office a truly wonderful place to visit for all residents. I hope that you will join me in voting for her.
The Democrats have a strong slate this year, and are worthy of your votes. We stand for inclusion and equitability, logic and common sense, protecting the health and safety of our residents, and overall we are ready to roll up our sleeves and work for you. I hope that you will show your support by voting Row A on November 2.
Thank you.
