To the Editor:

It has been an honor serving as selectman for almost four years.

Some of the accomplishments that have been achieved are:

*Continued to present reasonable town budgets to voters leading to responsible fiscal discipline for the town;

*AAA bond ratings reaffirmed again;

*Continued to increased road maintenance and repair; and

*New police headquarters opened under budget and on time.

These accomplishments are not solely the Board of Selectmen’s accomplishments. This is the work done together with Democratic and Republican colleagues across our board, Board of Finance, and the Legislative Council.

For the next two years, I look forward to working with Dan Rosenthal and Ed Schierloh in a bipartisan way for Newtown just as we have done with Jeff Capeci for the last four years.
