To the Editor:

Jessi Ruotolo and I want to thank all the people who helped us spread the word about Newtown’s first annual “Walk to Remember” in honor of Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Day on Friday Oct 15. We had a lovely turnout, including First Selectman Dan Rosenthal, and gorgeous weather to circle around the perimeter of Fairfield Hills.

The kids carried pink and blue balloons, while we spoke of and carried many babies in our hearts. New friends were made and special connections formed. Jessi and I look forward to growing this event in the years to come so families will know they are not alone in this pain and so we can support each other through this heartache that parenthood sometimes brings.
