To the Editor:

As a Newtown resident for the past 16 years, I would like to strongly endorse the re-election of Scott Cicciari to the Newtown Police Commission. I have had the opportunity to know and work with Scott over the years in the private sector, and I have always found him to be a man of the highest character and integrity. He is extremely knowledgeable and professional in all of his undertakings.

As a current member of the Police Commission, Scott has dedicated his time to supporting the police department in all of their endeavors, helping to ensure the safety of all Newtown residents. He has always been charitable with his time and expertise to help make our Newtown community a better place to live. Scott was also a co-founder of the Sandy Hook Arcade Center, a not-for-profit arcade that was opened at a time when our town was struggling, Scott found a way to help. Scott founded The Newtown Police Building fund, an organization that was instrumental in conveying the need for our new police headquarters facility.

He has also been an active EMT, serving as a first responder in our community for over 20 years.

On November 2, please join me in voting to re-elect Scott Cicciari to the Newtown Police Commission.
